Useful Tips |
| Traffic - by Alex Green from Lancashire UK |
| Driving in Tunisia is generally very easy. Long quiet stretches EXCEPT in Tunis. Here the drivers are completely impatient and totally indisciplined. Lane discipline is a nightmare. So dump the car and see Tunis by tram and foot but enjoy great driving conditions everywhere else. Dont be alarmed by the hundreds of police that you will see by the roadside. They tend to ignore Hire cars that have different number plates from their own, but if they do stop you, they are very very polite. Happy driving-Go for it. It really is no worse than any European countries and signs are always in French as well as Arabic. |
